Mrs Sarah Small runs Ashe Farm Campsite, just three miles from King’s College. This quiet, informal farm site is family run and ideal for tents, caravans and mobile homes. It comprises two fields with lovely views, 30 pitches with electricity, full facilities and three static holiday caravans which are let Saturday to Saturday. Dogs welcome.

You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located home. A ten minute walk along the River Tone to the town centre and Somerset County Cricket Ground. With Exmoor, The Quantocks, Exeter and Bristol all within easy reach of Taunton. The house features three large double bedrooms, three bathrooms, sofa bed, sunny garden plus lounge and dining room. There is off road parking for two or three cars. Electric car charging point is available by prior agreement.

Lyndale is just an eight-minute leisurely walk to King’s College and a five-minute walk to the local grocery store, not to mention several restaurants and pubs. The sunny, south facing, comfortable double and twin en-suite rooms overlook the garden and beautiful Vivary park, and have complimentary tea/coffee trays, Wifi and TV, as well as a fridge and microwave for your use. The B&B boasts private parking, and guests enjoy a drink and shortbread on their arrival in the guests’ lounge that overlooks the garden. In the mornings several breakfast choices are available including a cooked option prepared on the Aga.

Just 15-minutes drive from King’s College, Oak Tree Barn is a family-friendly and dog-friendly barn conversion in a peaceful setting on the edge of the unspoilt village of Thurloxton, in the foothills of the Quantocks. Detached, full of character and with french windows from the spacious double height living area onto the large fully enclosed lawned garden and patio, the barn has a sociable open plan living space and a large wood-burner. The layout is flexible with the double bedroom on a private mezzanine level and a twin bedroom downstairs.
